Practice Time 123s - Video Can you count to 20 on one hand? Host Rachel Coleman teaches you how to do just that - count from 1 to 20 in American Sign Language. Using clear, simple instruction, Rachel demonstrates each sign, and then sums up all of the letters in the Counting Song so you can sing and sign along. Then, once you’ve mastered the numbers 1 to 20, Rachel leads you through a series of interactive counting exercises. For example, Rachel will sign a number and show groups of objects. Your job is to figure out the number she’s signing and match it with corresponding number of objects. Not only will you get to practice “reading” the numbers being signed to you but you get to practice your counting skills, too! Next, Rachel will show you a group of objects and ask you to sign the number of objects you see on the screen. Then she signs the correct answer so you’ll know if you got it right! Each practice segment is randomized so that each time you view the video it will be different from the last! Practice Time can be used as a companion to the Signing Time videos or on their own. Created for all ages. Approximate run time: 30 minutes, plus special features. Practice Time 123s features the Counting Song, written by Rachel Coleman.
